24/7 emergency service
Electrical emergency? Call now.
Our line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week: 1 (800) 716-8955.
SafetyFire, smoke or someone hurt: call 911 first
If you see flames, smoke, sparking you can't shut off, or someone has had a shock, get everyone clear and call 911. Then call us.
Call us right away for
- A burning smell from outlets, switches or the panel
- A breaker that trips again as soon as you reset it
- A panel or outlet that is hot to the touch, buzzing or scorched
- Water in or near electrical equipment
- Power lost to part of a building while neighbours have power
- Damaged service mast or meter after a storm or vehicle impact
- Loss of power to critical equipment, freezers, heat tracing or life safety systems
While you wait
- Stay away from water near electrical equipment.
- If it's safe to reach, switch off the breaker for the affected circuit. Don't open the panel cover.
- Unplug sensitive equipment if power is flickering.
- Keep people and pets away from downed or damaged lines and call your utility.
Power out on the whole street?
That's usually a utility outage. Check with your electricity distributor's outage line first. If only your building is out, call us.
